Vixen died of old age on June 15th, 2007. He was 14 years old. He was the last orphan fawn the game commission sold us. He came here at about 2 weeks old. He was a favorite because he always ate at "Treat time" and when no other deer was interested he ran to the customers for some attention and affection. Vixen will be greatly missed.

Vixen was the last fawn ever sold to us by the PA Game Commission. That was 1993. Because of a change in their policy, no orphan fawns were brought to our deer ranch. Vixen had always been a 6 point buck his whole life. He did grow a bigger body over the years, but not bigger antlers. Vixen liked Treat Time and usually came over first and after he got started, the other bucks realized they were missing out and had better run to get something before Vixen ate it all.
