FLEA MARKET INFO FOR VENDORS

Hello, I don’t know about you, but to me that Winter seemed to go pretty fast. Not the yucky weather, but the time flew by. I guess I am showing my age.

Ginny has decided not to do the flea market this year. It was too hard on her, making the trip from Bedford  and working here on weekends, and doing her regular job through the week. So as of now we are just  going to wing it.

I will be over to collect the rent each week, and Doug has offered to put the flags out and open and lock the doors. So we have that much under control.

We are considering taking about 1⁄2 of the building and putting an indoor mini golf in it, to bring more people in. Something to do in bad weather. No final decisions have been made. This will not hurt the flea market, it should help it.

Rent will be the same rate as last year. Hey what can you say that about, something that didn’t go up... Wall spaces with shelves $12.00 a day. $11.00 if permanent vendor. Isle spaces $10.00 a day, $9.00 if permanent vendor. Electric $1.25 a day per table or $2.50 per weekend. This is for use of extra items like fans, lights for sale, cooking hot dogs, popcorn machine ect. $4.00 a week storage if you are keeping your merchandise here. It needs to be covered each week. You will not be charged table rent if you cannot be here some weeks, just keep items covered. And call me if possible. You will be charged the $4.00 storage fee. But if you ask another person to watch your table for you, it will be regular table rent. Holiday weekends (3 day) rent will be 1⁄2 regular table rate for the 1 day.

We have changed the opening and closing of the flea market because of complaints from vendors of the early and late seasons being too slow. So our official starting date this year will be Mothers Day weekend., May 12 &13 2007. And the last weekend of the flea market will be Sept. 30, Oct. 1st. 2007. That gives us 21 weekends. So I hope we all have a fun and profitable summer. I will appreciate any comments or suggestions, and help in this transition this year.

P.S. Outside spaces will be available, 6 under front roof at $6.00 a day, includes your table, light and chair.  10 x 10 outside space for $5.00 a day, you provide everything. Food Vendors set up is $15.00 a day. Electric is extra. Holiday 1⁄2 rent on holiday, must be there all 3 days.
